Day 1 and 2

Introductory Activity


Students would be shown different objects like: paper, pencil, chapatti and square box.

They would be asked what makes them look different. 

Then students would be shown each object and their names would be recalled and then basic shapes: classification & properties would be discussed.


Art Integration (Needed As Per The New Education Policy)

Make different geometrical figures using earbud sticks.


Let Us Take The Challenge: Keeps Motivating Your Students

1. A polygon has prime number of sides. 
Its number of sides is equal to the sum of the least two consecutive primes. Find the number of diagonals of the polygon.


Day 3 & 4

  • Regions of a triangle
  • Altitude of a triangle
  • Classification of triangles
  • Angle sum property of a triangle

Day 5 and 6

  • Types of quadrilaterals
  • Interior and exterior of a quadrilateral

4) Rhombus

5) Trapezium

Write any 2 similar objects for each, you have seen in your surrounding.

Students would be shown above stated material and would asked questions like which figure it represents and what other things comes to this category?

After discussing how a circle looks like students would be shown parts and regions of a circle using CD’s and chapatti.
