Mahatma Gandhi Death: Nathuram godse ne Gandhi Ko Kyu Maara?

2nd October is not merely a holiday but The birth of nation's most loved person by all the section of society- Mahatma Gandhi.

Almost every sect of our society appreciated the man with enormous courage, sense of belongingness to every individual and idol of sacrifice.

But he was killed ruthlessly on 30th January 1948, when shot dead in between people who loved him with all their heart.

Mahatma Gandhi: Father of Nation

Father of nation Gandhi, was called a Mahatma as he was a very peace loving, sacrificing and worshipped non-ahinsa.

He always believed in truth, acceptance and non-violence. 

He spent all his life in making India an independent nation and gave us the idea of satyagrahas to ask for what we want.

But, someone wanted something through killing not satyagraha and it was unbelievable at the moment that anyone could hate a Mahatma also.

The Man Who Killed Gandhiji

The man who shot dead gandhiji was Nathuram Godse.

He killed gandhiji at point- blank range when he was going for the prayer meeting in Delhi.

Story of Nathuram Godse

Ramachandra was a Maharashtrian Brahmin, born on 19 may 1910.

His name changed from Ramachandra to Nathuram Vinayakrao Godse later.

He was born to a postal officer, Vinayak Vamanrao Godse and a homemaker mother. 

 

A Hindu Activist- Nathuram Godse

Godse dropped his high and joined RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and Hindu Mahasabha as he was a major supporter of Hindus. 

He risen as an active nationalist and a leading author and wrote his thoughts and opinions in popular newspapers. Later, in 1940s, he formed "Hindu Rashtra Dal" as his own hindu organization but remained part of both the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha organisations which he was part earlier.

He never supported the idea of partition.

The reason behind Nathuram Godse Killing Gandhiji

Nathuram in his ideology was a "deshbhakt" but criticized the idea of providing Muslims with their rights and fullfilling their demands.

There the illogical reason of killing gandhiji raised in his head.

Godse considered Gandhiji as supporter of Muslim community and reason behind partition in India.

He killed gandhiji and claimed it to be a patriotic move to save Hindus and save nation to be a Hindu nation. He was not guilty for a second to shoot father of the nation.

He was very firm and didn't even try to escape,

It was his sacrifice to Hindus.

He even praised Gandhiji's efforts in making India an independent nation. But the one thought presided over others very efficiently and proved to be such a huge loss for the whole nation.

Love for one and hatred for others always proved to be a loss of lives, livings and most the loss of humanity.

Currently the all Manipur, Nuh and other ethnic violences can be seen as one inspired by the same idea which made Godse kill Gandhi.

We need to raise the Gulaabs not the Guns and our nation would neither loss any Gandhi to death and nor any Godse to bars.
